Splendor in the Grass trailer (1961)

Cinematic trailer for the 1961 film Splendor in the Grass starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty. Written by William Inge, and directed by Elia Kazan. Won Oscar for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay – Written Directly for the Screen in 1962.
Not crazy about this trailer but the movie is actually quite good.
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind…
they don’t make stories like that !!
helo from Croatia
this movie so cool.. i’ve been watching this movie when i was 14.. now im 19..
My favorite movieeeeeeee!!
Warren Beatty is such a babe.
They don’t make them like this anymore. I love this movie. Just watched it on TCM=D Natalie was amazing in this movie!
Thank you so much Dyran. This is one of my favorites films and you can´t imagine how many beautiful memories it brings back to me. Just watching the trailer it makes my tears come out.
I was in love when I was 11 or 12 with Natalie Wood but I think Warren Beatty was the man I wanted to be.
With your kind permission I am adding the video to my favorites
Francisco de Bellavista
haha when they’re introducing Warren Beatty… the one that started it all.
a beautiful heart breaking film…..Natalie at her best & most lovely….
Heart wrenching. Saddest movie I’ve ever seen!
Everytime I listen to Someone Like You, It reminds me of this movie
@abbielayla It’s sad. You talk about honor but at the same time it sort of caused the problems ikn this movie. THey were passionate for each other but they were forbidden by society to act on their passions. At the same time men could have sex with girls like Juanita and not be criticized.
the trailer just pretty much told you the whole movie…..LOL what if you are an adult but nothing like that happened?
“splendor in the grass, splendor in the grass, splendor in the grass, splendor in the grass, splendor in the grass” okaaaay.. fuck!
My granma told me about this and how her dad didn’t allow her to see this :p now i wanna see it
anyway beatty was so handsome in this first movie of his.
i hate man with their hormoneial problem
WHY DOES MAN ALWAYS WANT HIS MAN HOOD TO BE RIDDEN AND LOSE HIS LOVE OF HIS LIFE
This movie makes me cry
oh my god, this sounds like the most romantic story ever, but the movie is so fucked up
deeply unredeemably gloriously and hopelessly in love.. i wish people expressed their feelings with those words nowadays.
does this story remind you at all of “Spring Awakening” cuz that’s what came to mind when i saw this trailer…
@michaelkellykelly I think it’s called “Splendor in the Grass”…LOL
What’s it called again?
Deeply unredeemably and hopelessly in love XDDD Try getting an announcer today to get that to work
