@shaked2100 its that dust sprayer for computers and stuff. just flip upside down and it will blow very cold mist that freezes on contact, so watch your hands for frostbite

I watched all the special features on my Burn Notice DVDs. They actually have a guy on the crew that they give specs for tricks like this to. He goes home and figures out how to do it realistically, then comes back in and teaches Jeff, Bruce, Gabrielle, or whoever to recreate it. This is a relatively harmless trick, so they showed all components. The bombs and stuff, on the other hand … they work, but they leave bits out. LOL

Based on the lock they used, I doubt you even needed the freeze-spray stuff. I use these type locks but they’re only meant for the most basic of security, and will NOT handle a direct hit from a typical carpenters hammer.

haha i saw this episode and wondered if it really worked also. I had the can of air i just didnt have a lock to waste. instead my dumb ass friend thought it would be a good idea to spray me with it… That stuff is sooo cold.
oh on a side note… I doubt you needed that much lol.

That’s a pretty awesome trick – although that lock didn’t look all that strong, I wonder if you could have smashed it anyway without the compressed air. Would like to see this trick with a heavier duty lock.

I prefer refridgerant R-134A (for modern car’s air / available at auto parts stores) or commercial “freeze spray” for cooling / testing electronics for thermal intermittants. Available at radio Shack….and a ball peen hammer!

@fuduzan5562 Well, if it’s not Freon, then I must have heard wrong when I was watching the episode, ’cause I’m pretty sure he said Freon.

    • fuduzan5562
    • September 5th, 2010

@BlackFireDevil Actually, you’re wrong as well. It doesn’t “become a liquid” when you shake it. It’s already a liquid. Also, Freon isn’t used any longer.

    • fuduzan5562
    • September 5th, 2010

@PaperbackWizard lolol. It’s not Freon. Freon is a trademark, and isn’t used any longer, as it’s a nasty CFC.
